“ Our first time here and I can’t wait to come back to try more of this amazing food. I had the chicken and seafood gumbo. The cornbread was perfect. My husband had the oxtail and that was super tender and fell the bone. ”
“ This place is at a perfect location, after you park, you walk across to the plaza and it's right there on the outskirts of it! Once inside, the menu is on the board and you pay at the time you order. There's self-serve ice water and napkins to the left of the cash register. I went on a Friday, I arrived there a few minutes before opening time, there were a couple of people already waiting. Once inside, different nationalities started coming in. They have two sessions of Sunday brunch that you need to make reservations for. My food was great! There are no fountain drinks, sodas come in cans. I definitely would like to go back! ”

We get to Thank you, Bryce for coming over to my table. You are a very unique young man. There was a picture of him and his mom who is the owner on the wall. The place hit home. They have this beautiful jukebox. Jaming tunes . I’ll give you five stars hands-down. ”
“ I wanted soulfood for my bday & Cherie's did not disappoint. It was our 1st time there & the food was hot, well seasoned, & fresh. The fried chicken was moist & crispy & the gumbo was so good & there was plenty of meat in there! Even the French fries were cooked perfectly & tasted good at the end of our meal. The greens were yummy also-really, we all enjoyed our meals & the portion sizes & prices were great. We all said we would go back. The owner's bday is tomorrow & mine is today. It was a Scorpio- friendly dining event. I can't wait to go back & get that peach cobbler. ”

“ First time trying this place on 5/9/25 and I must say it’s pretty darn good. Service was great and the food was amazing. Fish was seasoned well and the sides was good although my rice was kinda clumpy. Service was fast also and I will definitely recommend coming here for some good food. I also liked the little jukebox playing the old school music. ”
“ This place is wonderful. The catfish is just amazing! I love the seasoning and it wasn't dry at all. The chicken is scrumptious and I love the machine and cheese. Not a fan of the greens or sweet potato but that's only because I don't like to eat too much sweet food. Not a fan of the banana pudding either as it's just not something I would eat. But definitely go and get yourself some fried chicken and cat fish! Highly recommended. And be quick cos they sell out fast and they sold out of gumbo.....so sad Oh and th corn bread was super yummy! ”
